IF's computer-generated version of the Lexus IS uses lighting, textures and sound design to suggest movement, so that when rear-projected in a darkened space on a translucent screen, it appears to those viewing it as a moving three-dimensional holographic image. The user can rotate the car, change its color and choose to watch a 35 second driving sequence designed to tie in with the IS campaign slogan, “Why live in one dimension?”
The hologram effect was created using technology from a Danish company called Vizoo (
www.vizoo.com). Vizoo creates three-dimensional, moving outdoor advertising installations for a wide range of clients and brands.
