Freelance Print Producer

IF LA is looking for an experienced, well-rounded PRINT PRODUCER able to fill several roles in the creation of marketing materials and collateral for a real estate development client:

Project Management

  • Oversee the production of real estate print materials, for a portfolio of private communities/ developments, including but not limited to

o Property brand guidelines and logos

o Print brochures

o Property maps

o Illustrated floorplans

o Sales Materials for lots, house architecture & interior designs

o Stationery suites

o Event support (save the dates, invitations, and etc)

  • Develop timelines with clear review dates and production milestones

  • Share cost estimates for project deliverables

  • Ensure that projects stay within scope and on budget / track those project’s costs (labor and expenses)

  • Advise internal stakeholders of overall project profitability

  • Supervise a staff, client-facing Production Coordinator

Resourcing

  • Coordinate with Resource Manager to allocate and book resources, both internal (staff) and external (freelance), as required by the projects’ scopes

Trafficking / Quality Assurance

  • Route materials through design and copy changes, ensuring that all client notes have been addressed

  • Manage the proofreading process and version control

  • Share client notes with the Creative team and help prioritize workloads based on projects’ relative priority / timelines

Client Service

  • Work with a team of property / development brand managers (up to six at a time)

  • Understand the client’s business and brand to advise the Creative team in developing product that is on-brand and helps achieve marketing goals

  • Advise Client, in a timely fashion, of changes in schedules based on shifting priorities

  • Lead and manage weekly status calls

Production Services and Guidance

Take direction from a Creative Director and lead designer, making design and production changes to printed materials
Help develop print-ready assets
Advise client on print production recommendations, such as
o Paper type recommendations

o Special finishes: varnishes, embossing/debossing, die cuts and etc

o Consult on pre-press and on-press process, if/when requested (reviewing proofs)

Requirements

· 5+ years’ print production experience

· Management experience

· Long-form layout samples in your portfolio

· Strong attention to detail, solid production skills, and experienced preparing files for print

· A great design eye

· Portfolio showcasing clean modern design

· Outstanding skills with InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office

· Real Estate experience, a plus
