National Geographic Genius: Picasso Promo

Client: National Geographic

National Geographic approached IF with the exciting challenge of exploring the condition of genius for Season 2 Genius : Pablo Picasso. We represented three of Picasso’s muses as unique color palettes that would bring the vivid texture of the world Picasso lived in and depicted. As the spot progresses, so does the tension, as Picasso’s obsession with one muse would shift to the next, mixing, smearing, even washing his hands of paint and inspiration around him. Though his intentions were never to harm, the influence of this genius on the world around him was as impactful as the muller he would use to crush paint pigment. Genius inspires. Genius creates. Genius destroys. Genius leaves a mark.
