Karate Kid: Legends Prologue

Karate Kid: Legends In-Film Graphics for Sony
In setting the stage for Karate Kid: Legends, we brought Miyagi lore to life; following Sensei Shimpo’s journey across treacherous seas, through relentless training, and toward the discovery of an ancient martial art passed down through generations. The sequence draws from the energy and visual spirit of 90s Japanese manga, connecting the past to the present with bold, graphic storytelling with a modern flare.

what we did

We crafted a dynamic prologue steeped in graphic manga aesthetics, expanding the lineage of Mr. Miyagi and the deeper roots of his martial arts philosophy. Designed with a handmade, expressive approach, the sequence fuses the raw intensity of 90s manga with the textured elegance and a bright palette. By embracing stylistic imperfections, the piece captures the emotion, grit, and timeless movement that defines the spirit of Karate Kid.
