WAR
Main Title for HBO
From the creator of LUPIN and HIJACK comes a high energy legal series pitting two of London’s most prestigious rival law firms against one another across the highest profile cases in the western world.
The title sequence explores this rivalry through the language of abstract expressionism, translating the tension, conflict and emotional weight of the series into an evolving landscape of paint, texture and movement.
Forms collide, fracture, bleed and consume one another—caught somewhere between beauty and destruction. Moments of control give way to chaos, only to reorganize and collapse again.
what we did
Rather than depicting 'war' literally, our title sequence explores conflict through the language of abstract expressionism.
We began treating the opposing forms like two boxers in a ring—circling, striking, reacting and pushing against one another. Suddenly, the abstraction had a clear sense of conflict and purpose.
The result is a visceral, painterly interpretation of conflict: an abstract battlefield where every gesture feels physical, unpredictable and charged with consequence.
