Imaginary Forces is seeking a Head of Visual Effects to oversee the Studio’s high-profile projects. This leadership position is responsible for identifying and implementing the best methods of workflow to achieve the Studio’s creative vision at the highest level. 

The Head of VFX will help set up production for each project in a technical and creative way. They must harness their in-depth knowledge of CG pipelines to direct workflows with efficiency and create solutions that support the project budget, schedule and creative goals. This role will maintain a functioning workflow for artists to focus without technical obstruction. As the Head of VFX, you must have an advanced working knowledge and understanding of on-set VFX supervision procedures and industry best practices.

Your involvement in projects will be from ideation to finish, including the initial bid, shoots and establishing a workflow through delivery. You must have the in-depth knowledge to guide teams technically in creating the highest quality of imagery as well as the leadership skills and level of communication necessary to present ideas to artists and directors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • • Work closely with Production on bidding, budgeting and scheduling

  • • Help define the technical approach for each project

  • • Work with Creative Director and Producer to offer technical solutions

  • • Participate in meetings with directors, artists and client

  • • Ensure artists are following proper pipeline procedures and delivery specs

  • • Oversee all elements created by the CG team and give technical notes

  • • Develop processes and structure 

  • • Daily monitoring of renders 



  • • Expert knowledge of Maya, Cinema 4D, After Effects, Houdini, Nuke and Flame

  • • Expert knowledge of CG pipeline

We’re a design-driven company seeking an experienced Senior Producer to join our growing production team. As Senior Producer, you are responsible for the project plan and supervision of account and project logistics. You will work closely with ownership, EP/HOP and CD’s to create viable project plans including budget, schedule, resources and project proposals. 

You will be required not only to track / monitor project budgets, schedules and deliveries, but also asked to help anticipate and address client & business obstacles as well as seamlessly manage the communication internally and with the client. You will be responsible for the financial success of the account & projects and ensure legal compliance, plus delivering an IF quality product that is acceptable to the client. 

You will produce projects yourself as well as supervise other production team members including Associate Producer and/or Coordinator. It is essential that you help lead projects with your Creative Director.


  • • Work with ownership, EP/HOP, CD’s and Business Development team to strengthen our client relationships and provide a premium service on the project level
  • • Understanding of our clients’ project needs, challenges and goals
  • • Provide support, encouragement and guidance for a client yet capable of drawing the line on important matter and negotiating successful outcomes
  • • Participate in client calls to understand project needs and ask questions that will inform IF’s decisions about the project (i.e. creative objectives, schedules, budgets, etc.)
  • • Create full SOW’s (Budget, Bid Letter, Schedule) to outline deliverables and project goals
  • • Work with internal team to lock the project, including contract negotiations and securing the commencement payment
  • • Consider the production pipeline depending on specific project needs while consulting with our internal IT department 
  • • Daily project updates including, but not limited to, budget, schedule, resources, client management issues and how we’re tracking against the deliverables
  • • Deliveries are also the responsibility of the Senior Producer. All tech specs and project file details should be defined with the client at the start of the project and checked prior to delivery
  • • Legal matters including, but not limited to, contract terms, third party and contractor/freelancer agreements, tech needs are the responsibility of the Senior Producer



  • • 5+years client facing experience as a Post Production Producer in VFX and/or Motion Graphics
  • • Experience in creating thorough and precise bids for VFX and Motion Graphics
  • • Experience in managing / creating strategic communications plans and messaging
  • • Understanding of VFX and Motion Graphics workflow
  • • Strong written and verbal skills
  • • Experience with CETA is a plus

Imaginary Forces

Imaginary Forces is seeking an experienced Post Production Coordinator to join our growing production team. This role will work closely with our senior producers and our creative teams. The Post Production Coordinator will assist the producers, creative directors, and artists through production by helping organize all team members and coordinating needs between our team and the client. The main focus of the Post Production Coordinator is to work alongside the producers in managing tasks and targets crucial to project deliveries while meeting deadlines and staying on budget. This includes:

  • • Setting up project structure on the server and various online tools such as, Wiredrive, Aspera, and Slack
  • • Scheduling internal meetings, client meetings, and meetings with third-party vendors such as sound designers, colorists, and specialty artists.
  • • Managing assets from our artists and organizing them to be uploaded and sent to the client.
  • • Receiving assets from the client (via online or physical hard drive), organizing them on our internal server, and distributing them to our artists
  • • Disseminating client feedback to the team and following up with the client on any clarification or additional assets needed to address the feedback


Delivery tasks include:

  • • Creating delivery spreadsheets to ensure all assets are accounted for
  • • QCing deliverables
  • • Uploading assets for delivery to client via Wiredrive, Aspera, AdStream, etc. and loading hard drives for physical delivery if need be
  • • Creating and sending links to client and coordinating physical delivery via courier when necessary


Job Requirements:

  • • Previous experience as a VFX/Post Production Coordinator working in TV, film or commercials
  • • Highly organized, detailed and proactive
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • • Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks when needed
  • • Basic understanding of common file formats and resolutions
  • • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs/Spreadsheets
  • • Basic understanding of 3D (Maya / C4D) and 2D (AE) workflows
  • • Able to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment
  • • Working knowledge in CETA a plus
