Imaginary Forces is looking for a Force in Business Development: An ambitious, energetic, and process-driven sales professional with a passion for world-class design, branding, and content creation. Strategic thinker who can blend deep industry knowledge with a keen understanding of sales and marketing principles to foster relationships, identify potential clients, and unlock revenue streams.

This is a results-oriented sales position with the goal of driving sustainable financial growth for the Studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Researching and identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services
  • • Generating leads, cold calling and hunting for prospective customers to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • • Working closely with Executive Producer to convert prospects into customers and to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • • Developing growth strategies and plans with clear objectives to increase revenue and business expansion
  • • Understanding the needs of existing customers and how the Studio’s services align with their goals for deeper involvement across multiple departments 
  • • Collaborating with Studio’s  internal departments including marketing, creative and production
  • • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events to network and promote the Studio
  • • Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly review and reporting to Managing Directors,  Executive Producer and CFO 
  • • Utilizing CRM software to track progress with new prospects, manage business leads, and analyze data to inform business strategies

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • • 5+ years of sales experience in entertainment, advertising, tech and / or related industries
  • • Excellent client service & time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and handle a busy and varied workload
  • • Possess a high level of written, verbal, negotiation, analytical skill as well as consistent and concurrent  follow through on multiple projects
  • • A working knowledge of live action, animation, VFX, Colour and post production processes
  • • BA or BS degree in film, art, communications, or related fields strongly preferred

 

COMPENSATION:

  • • $75,000 - -$100,000  Base Salary + Commission

Imaginary Forces is seeking a Business Development Coordinator. This role is a great opportunity to enter into the world of sales at a well respected, creative studio with design and storytelling at the forefront of all we do. Here at IF, you will learn to support a fast moving sales team on everything from initial contact with new and or existing clientele to analyzing the marketplace, creating new opportunities and looking forward, strategizing for future growth. 

You report directly to the GM/EP and work closely with the Owners, GM, Executive Producer(s), Head of Production, Director of Business Development, Marketing Department, Commercial Reps and where necessary. You also work with the Creative Directors as they are the Forces’ lead storytellers and your knowledge of their talents and abilities is essential when communicating with the public. 

 

Expectations

  • • Advance prep for calls and meetings ahead of each day and week. 
  • • Schedule meetings & follow up meetings: both internal as well as external, for any project already in bid and being considered.
  • • Return calls / emails / reach outs for any new business within the same day. Depending on the urgency, some responses will be necessary within a few hours
  • • Create + curate Studio, Director and Creative Director reels in Wiredrive and polish treatment decks and microsites for pitches.
  • • Update Hubspot with detailed client and project information
  • • Update CETA with detailed client info and begin new projects for bidding
  • • Create bids and calendars for projects as requested
  • • Coordinate the pitch and treatment process with CD’s and artists
  • • Compile all transcribed notes to send out for team visibility at the end of each day
  • • Wiredrive maintenance, including uploading newly released content and properly labeling / tagging via Marketing’s guide.
  • • Manage and take ownership of research projects for prospective clients and current client base 
  • • Prepare capabilities decks for prospective client / agency meetings 
  • • Coordinate with Marketing to create new outreach
  • • Manage and oversee interns or PAs on any sales or bizdev cross training or actioned initiatives

 

Requirements

  • • Hybrid work environment with 3 days in office.   Tues-Thurs
  • • 2-3 years of sales experience in the advertising industry and in the day to day managing of clients. 
  • • A working knowledge of design, animation, VFX, live action and post production processes. 
  • • Excellent client service and time management skills with the ability to always meet deadlines and handle a busy and varied workload. 
  • • Possess a high level of written, verbal, analytical skill as well as consistent and concurrent follow through on multiple projects. 
  • • Must be extremely flexible with the fast paced nature of our business and have familiarity with operations of a creative studio.

Imaginary forces is seeking a MCR Tech/Edit Asst. This role is a great opportunity to enter into a well respected, creative studio with design and storytelling at the forefront of everything we do. Here at IF you will learn to support a fast moving team. The best candidate will be able to work with everyone from CDs to producers to other editors and artists. The role is a stepping stone to further progress and growth within the Forces.


Expectations

  • • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • • Ingest, transcode, and convert footage
  • Maintain organization of folder structure 
  • Familiarity with current deliverable specs, various aspect ratios etc 
  • Work closely with production to process and prep all deliverable files for client, including QC
  • • Aid in stock, music and sound FX searches as well as small edit requests
  • • Keep up with color spaces and audio specs
  • • Hybrid environment 2-3 days in house and dependent on deliveries


Requirements

  • • A keen eye for detail in the QC process––yours will be the last eyes on deliveries 
  • • Knowledge of HDR workflows, frame rates and codecs

Imaginary Forces is seeking talented graphic designers, illustrators, 2D & 3D Animators, Motion Graphics students as well as 3D Generalists who are looking to further their skills and gain real world experience in a professional environment. You'll be working closely with Directors collaborating in a team from ideation to finish on a diverse range of projects for commercial & film advertising, logos, branding and digital and interactive platforms. The ideal candidate will engage and contribute to the entire process, have a sense of ownership, is motivated and eager to learn and able to take direction as well as work in a team and individually.
