ESPN Wimbledon Toolkit

Promo for ESPN
Enter the dynamic, high-energy realm of Wimbledon, where tennis’ top players are portrayed with cinematic flair. This legendary event offers a spectacle that sparks the imagination, and we were excited to help bring that electric energy to the screen. For ESPN’s coverage, we developed a flexible and modular title system—inspired by classic European film openers—that frames athletes as the stars of an international prestige drama.

what we did

Led by Creative Director Rob Slychuk, the toolkit spans everything from Title Cards and End Cards to “Quiet Please” slates and scrolling lineups for both international and U.S. players. Built with scalability in mind, the system is designed to support the needs of multiple departments—from editorial and game-day production to marketing and social media. Every element is fully customizable: color, timing, layout, and effects—giving teams the creative freedom to adapt the package to their unique needs.

With textured grass backdrops, editable mow patterns, animated player names, and built-in gateweave, the graphics carry rhythm and a handcrafted feel. Whether you're spotlighting Carlos Alcaraz in deep green or Coco Gauff in a bold golden yellow, each layout leaves room for personality, story, and a bit of national flair—without ever saying a word.
