Let’s be honest, the nostalgia of the 90’s wouldn’t be what it was without the era-defining soundtracks of Rock ‘n’ Roll. HBO’s documentary, ‘Jagged’, puts a spotlight on the fearless life and career of Canadian rockstar Alanis Morissette following her 1995 album release of ‘Jagged Little Pill’. From overcoming personal hardships to facing adversity within the music industry, Alanis’ story is a testimony about life’s ugly truths and beautiful chaos.

what we did

We were stoked to have an all-access, backstage perspective of visualizing her ever-lasting impact in the music industry. Designing the entire graphics package, we pulled archival footage straight from Alanis’ collection of candid memories captured on film. We even animated the lyrics of her hit album ‘Jagged Little Pill’ which were hand-written by Alanis herself. Catapulting her career in Rock ‘n’ Roll, Alanis broke down barriers through her unapologetic soundtracks and liberating perception of empowerment that, to this day, resonates in the hearts of millions around the world.
