In November 1967, Jann Wenner wrote Rolling Stone magazine’s very first letter from the editor. The rest is history… and this documentary revisits some of the most iconic stories, key players, and behind-the-scenes work that went into the creation of the legendary magazine.
what we did
Creative Director Karin Fong worked closely with the documentary’s directors Alex Gibney and Blair Foster to create a title sequence that illuminates the process of creating a print magazine. Our team combined a variety of images from Rolling Stone’s vast archive with voice-over and text from the publication’s very first letter from the editor.
